Update history
Every documented release: EA launch (February 6, 2026) → 2026.1.1 → 2026.1.2 → the Hotel map (March 1) → 2026.1.3 → 1.0 (September 11, 2026) → the Asylum removal (September 14). No further post has gone up as of September 29, 2026.
Anomaly Company is a solo project with a very readable paper trail: since day one, Kekdot has posted every patch to the game's Steam news feed. Below is the full public timeline, from the Early Access date announcement to the day the Asylum map came down.
As of September 29, 2026, the Asylum removal post remains the latest entry — no further patch has been announced.

February 3, 2026 — Early Access date announced
The first news post locked in Friday, February 6, 2026: "After months of hard work, I feel ready to share what I've been working on."
February 6, 2026 — Early Access launch
The game went live with a single map — the Office — pitched as a 4-player co-op horror game about memorising floors, spotting anomalies and deciding if a timeline is safe. Anomaly Company entered Early Access as "the latest solo-development project from the creator of The Anomaly Project".
February 7, 2026 — Patch 2026.1.1
- Added 3 new anomalies to the Office mission.
- Replaced the Session ID system with a password-protected lobby system — easier server browsing, easier friend joins.
- Fixed two misplaced meshes, bootscreen audio looping, and the lobby door sound on the client side.
February 15, 2026 — Patch 2026.1.2
A comfort patch, straight from player feedback. It added three sliders: player breathing volume, camera shake and camera sway.
February 21, 2026 — Hotel map announced
A heads-up post set the second map for Friday, February 27, with shout-outs to early YouTube coverage (SMii7Y, Caylus). It also explained a shuffle: the Hotel would come first because "Blackwell Asylum needs more time to become the terrifying place I want it to be (hehe)" — the scarier-than-normal level players had been requesting for months.
March 1, 2026 — The Hotel map arrives
The second map went live: "a creepy hotel corridor — check the rooms and analyze the guests", with an expanded anomaly set, more visual storytelling and "new threats".
March 2, 2026 — Patch 2026.1.3
Performance patch. The Hotel was "more performance demanding than the other maps", and this update targeted higher FPS and smoother framerates, especially on mid-range systems.
September 11, 2026 — 1.0 releases, with the Asylum map
Full release, headlined by the third map — Blackwell Asylum — plus months of polish. In the announcement the developer noted Anomaly Company's videos had passed 15 million views, name-checking SMii7Y, VanossGaming, Caylus, ZerkaaPlays and others, and pointed players toward The Anomaly Project as a sibling game.
September 14, 2026 — The Asylum map is removed
Three days after launch, Kekdot pulled the Asylum map and its Steam assets after players flagged its resemblance to Outlast, and recommended refunds to anyone who had bought the game specifically for it. It is the last public update so far — the full story is here.
What's next
No roadmap has been published. The developer's posts during Early Access promised that each map would "continue to grow and evolve over time" with new anomalies and visual improvements — three new Office anomalies already arrived in the first week — and the Asylum post states that building a replacement map "will most likely take me a few months again". Until the next post lands, the game's Steam news feed is the only official channel.
